    Sector Session: Understanding awards and transitional classifications

    Join DJMIR for this Sector Session focused on understanding award coverage, employee classifications, and the transition to the new Children's Services Award classification structure.

    Since the introduction of the new classification framework, DJMIR has received a significant number of enquiries from services seeking clarification on how to correctly classify employees, determine award coverage, and implement the transitional arrangements. This practical session has been designed to address the most common areas of confusion and provide employers with the confidence to correctly classify and pay their employees.

    During this webinar, we will cover:

    • Understanding the differences between the Children's Services Award and the Educational Services (Teachers) Award
    • How to determine which award applies to your employees
    • Understanding classification descriptors and employee levels
    • The transition to the new Children's Services Award classification structure
    • Mapping existing employees to the correct classification level
    • Common classification errors and areas of confusion
    • Practical examples and opportunities for questions
